Was this the rant that put the “best corner in the game” on the map? Before this epic episode after last season’s Seahawks Vs. 49ers game, Richard Sherman was not a household name around the country, but this shined a powerful spotlight on the fierce competitor. Now all the world would love or hate him. Polarizing celebrities do get attention. (Backstory- some 49er decided to ignore Richard’s handshake right after we won, and Richard let his feelings fly when a reporter approached.)

Now Richard Sherman does even more good than just getting the nation’s attention on our little burb and superb football team, he has teamed up with Swedish Hospitals to send a strong message to cancer cells everywhere. The ad was released on Monday. Enjoy:

According to a Swedish Hospital press release, Sherman believes in this cause:

“When I was asked to support the Swedish Cancer Institute’s Personalized Medicine Program, I realized I had a new opportunity to continue my passion for supporting the Seattle community. I’m honored to be a part of the innovative work the Swedish Cancer Institute is doing on behalf of patients and families across our region.”
