It’s just like those overly polite Chippendale Chipmunks when Siri is forced to talk to herself. (“After you…” “No, please, after you.”)

I, personally, just got my first iPhone about a month ago and have asked only one question of the “intelligent personal assistant” and “knowledge navigator” — “Siri, how do I turn off my phone?” I asked it in many different ways, but she refused to answer. Hmmm. Maybe she took that personally and determined that would be the end of her existence.

One thing I didn’t know about Siri: The name is Norwegian, meaning “beautiful woman who leads you to victory.” And, the iPhone’s original developer named his daughter ‘Siri,’too. Maybe I’ll start asking her some better questions, like, “Where shall I take today’s nap at work, Siri?”
