George Clooney has long been an outspoken critic of the Sudan’s president Omar al-Bashir and now apparently the mega-star is spying on Bashir with a satellite.

Clooney has been doing commercials for Nespresso and the actor told the U.K.’s The Guardian he spends those paychecks on keeping a satellite over the border of North and South Sudan.” Guess you can do that when you’re George Clooney.

Bashir, who is charged with war crimes, allegedly responded to Clooney’s spy games by asking whether Clooney would like to have cameras following him around everywhere.

The irony was not lost on Clooney, who told the Guardian his response would be, “Well, welcome to my life, Mr. War Criminal.’ I want the war criminal to have the same amount of attention that I get. I think that’s fair.”
