Marysville Kid ‘Shoots’ At Students With Gun-like Fingers

Things are getting very serious when it comes to violence in schools. Even fake violence.

A 14-year-old Marysville Middle School student has been suspended for the remainder of the school year ( a few more weeks ) after he used his hands to imitate  guns and then pretend to shoot with his fingers  at fellow students.

The school district took the disciplinary action following the May 31st incident.  KOMO-TV interviewed Hunter Lance’s mother who said she acknowledges the offense took place, but that suspending her son for two weeks was too harsh.

Assistant Schools Superintendent Gail Miller says the teen was suspended because of the incident and his history of issues at the school.

What do you think? Too much punishment? Would a good Talking-To have done the trick in disciplining Hunter? Use our comments section below or go to our facebook page to chime in.
