You can own a huge guitar sculpture like the one above with our model Paul McCartney, created in honor of Ozzy Osbourne, KISS, The Doors, Motley Crue, Jimi Hendrix & more. Ultimate Classic Rock reports the over two dozen giant Gibson guitar sculptures “have been decorating various spots on Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip for the better part of a year, and now those 20-foot-tall axes will be auctioned for charity”

Todd Steadman of the Sunset Strip Business Association says, “The guitars celebrated the boulevard’s history while also giving local artists the opportunity to showcase their talents in a one-of-a-kind setting. The art guitars added to the Sunset Strip experience, and we are pleased that the proceeds from the GuitarTown charity auction will benefit and inspire countless individuals in theLos Angeles area and beyond.”

The art guitars go up for auction on Dec. 3 at Julien’s Auctions Beverly Hills and online at Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Los Angeles Youth Network, the West Hollywood Arts & Cultural Commission and the West Hollywood Library.

While they’re not actually 20 feet tall, they are guaranteed to start conversations when people see them in your collection or on your lawn.  Check the sculptures out and make online bids here. Bidding starts at $1500, and each sculpture is expected to sell for $3000 to $5000. Other cities that have hosted GuitarTown exhibitions include Nashville, Miami, London and Austin, Texas.
