5 Best Taxman Covers Ever [Video]

Happy… or sad, Tax Day to you. We honor this yearly painful ritual with the 5 best covers (that we could find) of the Beatles 1966 hit Taxman, which is on the Revolver album.

Stevie Ray Vaughn played it meanly on his guitar and sang it just like a truly vengeful taxman:

At the Concert For George  in 2002 in London to honor George Harrison, Tom Petty slayed it.

Remember Power Station? They were a 1980s supergroup made up of singer Robert Palmer, former Chic drummer Tony Thompson, and Duran Duran members John Taylor (bass) and Andy Taylor (guitar). Think what you will:

In 1984, Rockwell (famous for Somebody’s Watching Me) decided that he needed a cover of Taxman, too:
