Don’t worry, this story is (mostly) PG-13. According to CBS Miami, some beach-goers got quite the show recently, even though they may not have known it.

A group of manatees were caught “in flagrante delicto,” so to speak. You might be surprised to learn it’s totally normal for the animals to beach themselves when they’re mating. Not shy, apparently. Wildlife officials told CBS Miami several males followed one female on to the beach, which is also apparently just the way they do things; it’s called a mating herd. More than you ever wanted to know about manatees? We thought so!

A local news helicopter caught the copulating manatees on camera. You can check out the video at CBS Miami (if you like that kind of thing).
