Well this one’s a bummer for workplace equality.

A man named Kim O’Grady was looking for jobs for four months and got nothing but rejections until he made one small change to his resume. According to ABC News, O’Grady simply added ‘Mr.’ to his resume and landed a job. O’Grady later wrote a blog about his experience, where he surmised that he’d been passed over for all those jobs because hiring managers assumed he was a woman. He claims to have gotten an interview for the very next job he applied for.

Granted, O’Grady lives in Perth, Australia and his job hunt happened in the 1990s. But it apparently still resonates with a lot of people because his story has gone viral.
