Just when we were starting to think the physical music album was headed the way of the 8-track tape, some super cool guy goes and creates a 3D album cover. If you’re thinking this is just some kid’s hot-glue art project, you’re wrong. It’s actually a pretty rad recreation of the cover of Joy Division‘s first album Unknown Pleasures. Pretty cool, no? (Bonus points if figured that out before we told you!)

The creator Michael Zoellner implies he’s not totally satisfied with the project, however we over here at JACK are very easily impressed by the simplest things… so basically we were blown away. The dude made it from scratch with a 3D printer… who even understands what that means?!

Anyway, now we’d like to see a 3D version of Pink Floyd‘s iconic Dark Side of the Moon album…
