Rush Gets Inducted: Great Photos Here

Rush is now officially a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Canadian trio were one of the more celebrated honorees at the event, and received a standing ovation as they entered the ceremony. In his induction remarks, drummer Neil Peart acknowledged that he and his bandmates were wrong for downplaying the significance of the honor, admitting that they’ve “been saying for a long time that this isn’t a big deal. Turns out it is.” Frontman Geddy Lee extended the band’s gratitude to the band’s loyal followers, saying Rush has “the most passionate, most dedicated fan base in the world.” Foo Fighters Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins presented Rush at the event, and also performed “2112” in their honor.
