Ladies Love Cool James, that’s why LL Cool J will be hosting the 54th Grammy Awards after 7 years with no official host. It’s not really about the ladies, LL Cool J has paid his dues as host of the Grammy Nominations Concert since it started in 2008. He said, “I’m thrilled to be part of music’s biggest night. I will always have fond memories of my first Grammy Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show is a dream come true.” Queen Latifah was the last official Grammy host in 2005 and a string of guest presenters have anchored the awards ceremony since then.

This years list of Grammy performers includes nominated artists Foo Fighters, Nicki Minaj, Rhianna, Coldplay and Taylor Swift. Also confirmed are Paul McCartneyKelly Clarkson, Bruno Mars, and Jason Aldean. NME says, “The Beach Boys, who announced their comeback last month, have also hinted that they may perform at the event, with guitarist Al Jardine promising a ‘surprise’ which will be ‘very exciting’.” According to SPIN, “speculation has swirled about a potential appearance by Adele, who has been confirmed to sing at the Brit Awards later in February, but there’s no official word on that front just yet. Also noticeably absent from the bill are nominees Lady Gaga, Kanye West, and Bon Iver.”

Kanye West leads this year’s nominations, with seven nods while Foo Fighters are just behind him with six. The 54th Grammy Awards will be held February 12th at L.A.’s Nokia Theater.  Here’s a look at some of the probable performers:
