Motley Crue Christmas Lights Video Goes Viral After Nikki Sixx Posts It

People go all out for their Christmas light displays these days, with whole neighborhoods decked out in high-tech lights. Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx recently posted a link to a 2010 Christmas light show synced up to the band’s hit Kick Start My Heart. While it’s not generally thought of as a Holiday tune, the video went viral after Sixx posted it.

As opposed to the guy down the street in your neighborhood who’s loudly played the same tune for 6 weeks synced to his lights, YouTube user only ran the Motley Crue tune as a Grand Finale to the season’s lights on New Year’s Eve. Here’s a look at his 2010 penultimate display:

There are already a number of hard rocking displays online, but this is sure to start a new wave of friendly competition for the 2011 season. Here’s a look at some past Rockin’ Christmas Displays:

Better turn the volume down on this one, but envision hooking all your neighbor’s houses up to one display controller with a much needed change of tunes:
