Harmful Bacteria Found At Playboy Mansion

This headline is screaming for inappropriate jokes. However, I will refrain myself. Last month, 200 people fell ill after attending a party at the Playboy Mansion. An investigation found traces of bacteria that causes Legionnaires’ disease.

Other infection sources have not been ruled out as the cause of the illness because the bacteria Legionella is common in moist places…and why wouldn’t that be a perfect reason for Legionella to be the cause? (sorry, bad joke)

Health officials opened an investigation Feb. 11 after attendees of an Internet conference reported symptoms consisting of fever, chills, malaise and coughing. About 700 people from 30 countries attended lectures and workshops at the conference. Health officials would not say where the bacteria was discovered at the mansion, calling it only a water source. That could mean anywhere from a kitchen tap to the hot tub where Playboy bunnies mingle with their guests.

The county is investigating the outbreak with state and federal health officials to track illness outside Los Angeles. Can’t wait to see how this pans out. I’m not a doctor, and I don’t claim to be one, but take these words of advice. Stay away from moist places and Playboy Bunnies.
