Lady Gaga bought back some of her old recordings yesterday, just as they were about to be auctioned off.  There’s no word on how much it cost her.

The songs were recorded between 2002 and 2006 before she became a superstar.  There were demos and six CDs, which were made under her real name Stefani Germanotta plus, a DVD of a 2006 performance.

The auction house released a statement afterwards saying that they were “very happy to be an instrumental part in bringing the music created by Stefani Germanotta back to its rightful owner.”

The recordings were in the possession of Lady Gaga’s former manager.  He claims he never copied them or attempted to release them to the public.

Here’s a video of Stefani Germanotta and her band The Bitter End back in the days… Enjoy!
