Bavari Babes Take Over World Cup

Talk about creative (and illegal!) ambush marketing. At Monday’s game, a group of 30 women clad in orange minidresses got the attention of fans and players alike DURING the game in order to promote a Dutch beer company. Two women accused of organizing the stunt have been arrested under the Contravention of Merchandise Marks Act “which covers ambush marketing from an event without paying for advertising” (from the AP) Police released a statement claiming that they view ambush marketing in a serious light urging others not to join. However, FIFA has claimed that they are not pressing charges despite their firm protection of their official sponsors. Check out the video of the girls causing quite a stir during the game by clicking on more.
