Federal investigators have concluded that the deadly Sept. 2008 plane crash that injured [lastfm]DJ AM [/lastfm]and [lastfm]blink-182[/lastfm]’s [lastfm]Travis Barker[/lastfm] was due to under-inflated tires.

According to investigators’ testimony at a National Transportation Safety Board meeting,  all four of its tires exploded within seconds of each other, hurling debris into the hydraulic system and causing the plane’s brakes to fail when pilots attempted to abort the takeoff, while travelling over 150 mph on the runway.

The crash killed the plane’s pilot and three others; Barker and DJ AM (Adam Goldstein), the only survivors, suffered major burns. Last year, DJ AM died of an accidental drug overdose.
