Iggy Pop of The Stooges loves getting inducted.

Music royalty descended upon New York City’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Monday night for The 25th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. This year’s awards assembled The Stooges, Genesis, ABBA, Jimmy Cliff, and The Hollies – More on cranky Phil Collins and Billie Joe Armstrong>>>

Peter Gabriel was a no-show but lackluster Phil Collins accepted on behalf of Genesis:    Collins also jabbed at Gabriel for avoiding the inductions ceremonies: “We’ve played without him for 30 years, we’re used to not having him around.”      Green Day singer Billie Joe Armstrong said it’s easy to sum up the sound of The Stooges.
